Barely twenty four hours after JKUAT formalized an agreement with Keroche Foundation to empower the country’s youth, 50 women, drawn from over ten counties, converged at the University, Wednesday May 28, 2014 for a three-week capacity building programme on socio-economic empowerment for sustainable development; under the in-country training programme. The training programme, jointly mounted by JKUAT and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) aims to equip participants with practical skills, attitudes and competencies necessary for livelihoods transformation.
